Terms of Use
Last updated: 6 September 2026
These Terms govern your use of cralens.com (the "Service"), operated by Pedro Buso (Brazil). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
These Terms have not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer. The choice of governing law in clause 8 is a founder's decision and is subject to legal review before the paid commercial launch; the free Service is offered on the terms below in the meantime.
1. What the Service is — and what it is not
The Service provides an automated, informational assessment of whether a software product is likely to fall within the scope of the EU Cyber Resilience Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/2847), together with general orientation about applicable obligations and dates.
The Service is not legal advice. It does not provide certification, conformity assessment, legal opinions, or any determination of compliance. Results are automated regulatory assessments based on your answers and on cited public sources, provided for orientation only. The final determination of scope, classification, and conformity obligations depends on the specifics of your product and may require professional legal or conformity-assessment advice. You remain solely responsible for your regulatory obligations.
2. Accuracy and sources
We cite the sources for our assessments (the Regulation and official European Commission guidance) and record the version of our assessment methodology. Regulation, guidance, and harmonised standards evolve; an assessment reflects the methodology version and sources current at the time it is generated. We do not warrant that results are complete, current, or error-free.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service; attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls; scrape the Service at scale; use the Service to provide competing automated assessments; or submit information you have no right to submit.
4. Intellectual property
The Service, its content, methodology, and reports are owned by CRAlens (Pedro Buso) or its licensors. Your report is for your internal business use. Excerpts of Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 are reproduced from the Official Journal of the European Union.
5. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CRAlens (Pedro Buso) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, nor for any loss arising from reliance on an assessment, and our aggregate liability related to the free Service shall not exceed EUR 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.
7. Changes and termination
We may modify or discontinue the free Service at any time. We may update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be dated on this page.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, where the operator is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or data-protection rights that apply to you by law. No exclusive forum is elected. This clause is subject to legal review before the paid commercial launch.
